MTV ditches flash website
Ask anyone who is knowledgable about designing accessible websites and they’ll tell you that flash should only be used sparingly. Flash should never be the whole of the design because it can be slow to load, difficult to navigate, a nuisance to users, and various other reasons. If flash is used for the whole of a design, then at least the developer should include an HTML only version for those who wish to keep it simple.
In their blog , MTV tells about how they received numerous complaints about their flash website which was only up for about 9 months. They listened to their users and gave them an HTML design which is easier to navigate and loads faster. Good for them!
